Ace of Cups tarot card meaning love

The Ace of Cups is the sweetest tarot card for love.

The Ace of cups is a beautiful card to pull from the tarot deck if you are asking about a relationship you are currently in; It would more than likely mean that the relationship is long lasting, is full, romantic, endearing and enriching. It is a soul union.

Ace of Cups tarot card meaning voyagerDepending on whether you have met someone and want to know if it is lasting, or if you are single and are ready to open your heart, this card is the one that you really want to be in your tarot card reading or love tarot reading.

This card is specifically about love; the Ace  depicts a cup overflowing and gives prophecy of a reciprocated, deep, compatible romantic partner. It implies an offer of warmth, compassion, friendship, intimacy and longevity.

It can also be asking you to open your heart to your true self, so as to allow this real love in.

This card is about an honest love, a love that moves beyond passion, a love driven by the heart, communion with the soul; an egoless love that can overcome the external desires and fractures of the past.

It foretells an opening up of your authentic self with another, a sharing, a caring, warts and all.

Ace of cups tarot meaningThe Ace of cups is sometimes a warning to ready oneself for something new and rewarding. It pertains to love and romantic relations. It is the  creme de la creme of the love cards.

Being aware and witnessing as you fall in love with someone makes for a very subtle and honest beginning. The silence and presence as you look into and learn the others way. The awareness allowing acceptance of a slow merging, a knowing. It’s utterly delightful. And divine if nurtured.

The Ace portends sustainability, faithfulness and commitment of the heart.

All Aces in a tarot reading, generally give a clear YES to any query unless reversed.

If the query is not specifically about love relations it can indicate that a project, event or situation will not only be successful but will be filled with love. This is always a sign from the universe that you are on the right track, as love is the ultimate universal essence.

If we dig a little deeper and go back to pagan times we can get a more spiritual meaning of the Ace of Cups (of course it always depends on the individual reading and the context or visions coming through).

imagesBut at a spiritual level in the Ace of Cups, the cup is symbolic of the Cauldron of Kerridwyn – granter of wishes and inspirational dreams –  a time is ahead where the deepest and most heartfelt spiritual desires of the querent may be realised and set in stone.

A new start, a spiritual awakening, a time of dreams and opening up to your true self is approaching.

The Ace is asking you to allow in the love and trust that your heart is speaking the truth and yes it is time to move away from the pressures of the ego, the love will guide you  :).

Here is a little pagan magic spell, to help increase potential love energy into your life – as with all magic we never do a spell directly onto another person as we do not want to interfere with anyone’s free will.

Simple love magic

  What you will need:

An onion

flowerpot or garden

Jasmine oil

compost

a pen

As always draw a circle by calling on the four elements: fire, water, air and earth

Scratch the word ‘love’ into the onion, with the pen, under a waning moon. Focus on feelings of love, imagine all the qualities you desire in another, rub the jasmine oil on the onion then say:

“May this plant take root and grow shoots.
May the shoots grow into leaves.
May a flower bloom among them.
And as the flower blooms,
May love Take root, bloom and flower.
And it harm none, so mote  it be.”

Now plant the onion and place some compost over it.

Close the magic in your usual way, and put the pot on a window sill or place it in the garden and let any thoughts of the magic dissipate.

Tend to the bulb well and by the full moon love should have come your way :

“Only once in your life, I truly believe, you find someone who can completely turn your world around. You tell them things that you’ve never shared with another soul and they absorb everything you say and actually want to hear more. You share hopes for the future, dreams that will never come true, goals that were never achieved and the many disappointments life has thrown at you. When something wonderful happens, you can’t wait to tell them about it, knowing they will share in your excitement. They are not embarrassed to cry with you when you are hurting or laugh with you when you make a fool of yourself. Never do they hurt your feelings or make you feel like you are not good enough, but rather they build you up and show you the things about yourself that make you special and even beautiful. There is never any pressure, jealousy or competition but only a quiet calmness when they are around. You can be yourself and not worry about what they will think of you because they love you for who you are. The things that seem insignificant to most people such as a note, song or walk become invaluable treasures kept safe in your heart to cherish forever. Memories of your childhood come back and are so clear and vivid it’s like being young again. Colours seem brighter and more brilliant. Laughter seems part of daily life where before it was infrequent or didn’t exist at all. A phone call or two during the day helps to get you through a long day’s work and always brings a smile to your face. In their presence, there’s no need for continuous conversation, but you find you’re quite content in just having them nearby. Things that never interested you before become fascinating because you know they are important to this person who is so special to you. You think of this person on every occasion and in everything you do. Simple things bring them to mind like a pale blue sky, gentle wind or even a storm cloud on the horizon. You open your heart knowing that there’s a chance it may be broken one day and in opening your heart, you experience a love and joy that you never dreamed possible. You find that being vulnerable is the only way to allow your heart to feel true pleasure that’s so real it scares you. You find strength in knowing you have a true friend and possibly a soul mate who will remain loyal to the end. Life seems completely different, exciting and worthwhile. Your only hope and security is in knowing that they are a part of your life.”
