“Toto, I have a feeling we’re not in Kansas anymore.”

cosmos april new moon love ritual

I’m not going to ramble and fumble my way through a consciousness talk on choices or past verses future,

I’m not going to use parodoxes to explain the nature of reality in relation to the cosmic influences of the planets and Luna energies.

I’m not going to churn out metaphors to direct you towards insights of how love is a verb, a state of being or a musical note.

Instead I’m just going to give you this picture, this mandala to meditate on with a note of assurance that love – true love – is available in nature, in you NOW 🙂

Slip back into the beats of 1997, make yourself a cup of tea and put on your slippers; this is going to by a curly one.

Pisces new moon 2016 lovepisces new moon 2016New moon’s are traditionally new beginnings and eclipses are illusion smashers.

But, this is a super moon (meaning moon is closest to Earth) also, so you better make sure you have insurance for the illusions residing in your karma closet, cause it may be costly, as they are stolen from the shadows.

This one is in Pisces – the watery,  emotional, deeply other worldly sign that sways between the two worlds – building bridges between the world of illusion and the truth reality.

1997 was the last time we had a new moon eclipse in Pisces, so think back to what was happening around March and August that year and it may or may not give you some clues.

Hopefully you have tidied up your emotional handbags and your karmic rooms or better still built a new home made of genuine ginger and matured love hearts, because the winds might blow and blow and knock the walls down – the pretend ones that is.

Search your frequencies for Elton John’s ‘candle in the wind, take deeps breaths, put on the ripped tight jeans, mix a mock tail and grab your journal.

It will either have pages of love gone wrong, ragged with tear drops or if you have begged for forgiveness, scrambled the heart for answers, thrown out the baggage and the ipod,  you will be aiming for jotting down a colourful and tidy little list of 2016 post illusion integration actions, before you change the frequency and slow dance to Elton’s ‘Something about how you look tonight.

Emotions are messages – they are real but they are not the whole truth. They sometimes get confused from the eras of days gone by – they forget to move with the times. The Pisces depths of emotions will be lit up in all of us – the light is bright because it’s close to Earth and the illusions will eclipse.

Rumi seekingPisces is ruled by Neptune, the tricky magician, so new wave frequencies may arise for transforming into particles of pleasure or if you are lucky old ones may twist and turn into new evolved versions of consciousness and regulated heart beats. If you are like a fish (Pisces) you will go with the flow, into the arms of the beloved.

If none of this made sense you can google “New moon Pisces March 2016” and seek, seek seek or you can put on your blue swayed shoes and make a move toward your congruent love self or other.

Alternately you can simply just sit back in your banana lounge, navigate your navel and the stars and wait for a blue moon 🙂

“People are… Full of contradictions. They’re lonely. And then they’re not. They’re missed. And then they’re not.”– Kou Yoneda

Two of SwordsThe Two of swords depicts a blindfolded woman sitting in front of the sea of rocky waters, under the waxing moon, holding two swords crossed over her in a sign of protection.

The blindfold represents the unseeing mind – there is a decision to be made and the woman has closed off her seeing as she is not wanting to make a decision. The choppy and rocky sea represents the inability for any ships to enter – that the necessary resources are distant and inaccessible.

Swords are about, ideas, intellect, thoughts and imagination – they are crossed and defending in this card- therefore blocking any progress or creative solution.

The moon is shining it’s light trying to let in the intuitive guidance but the blindfold and swords are blocking any possibility of progress, solution or moving forward. The woman knows what is happening but she is blindfolding truth and blocking off any new ideas and life. She is in denial.

The two of swords is about having to make a decision but not wanting to change or grow – it is about wanting things to stay the same and not being prepared to see the truth of a situation and make changes. It indicates a situation that is not healthy, that is not going anywhere (the rocky sea) but the person not being willing to look and to make changes.

Two of swords newThere could be many contradicting elements – the heart and the head may be at extreme opposites. The intellect may need to be released so that the positive thoughts, ideas and solutions will come forward. Continuing on as things are is stopping the positive resourceful growth of everyone involved.

The person is being asked to not be passive, to let go of old behaviours of sitting in pain and stagnant waters. To release the swords of false protection and allow in the beauty of the hearts language, the intuitive offerings of the moon.

In love this card is saying you are stuck in an unhappy situation that you see no way of getting out of. There are opportunities there but you will not open to them because you are not wanting to see the truth.

You are staying in unhealthy patterns and relationships as you are too afraid to create the necessary changes from within you. You are choosing to sit in the pain – guarding yourself from newness and happiness as you are afraid of change and growth and vulnerability.

Two of Swords denialThis card comes up in a reading to remind you that denial will not help, it will recreate more of the same and worse. Blocking of the flow and abundance of love and resources effects the entire community.

You are being advised that it is safe to listen to the inner truths of your heart – that it is safe to follow your hearts desires for they seek for happiness.

If you have met someone new, this card may be showing that you are in two minds, that you are still using your intellect to guide your heart.

You may be holding back and not sure what path to take. Your past may be effecting your decisions.

This card is advising that you must release the fears and the idea of control and follow the path of nurturing and love – or you will lose its beauty and will end up sitting in a life of continuing pain and sadness, not willing to move forward – being controlled by the past.

The Two of swords indicates that the new relationship has vast potential but your intellect or fear may be the only thing stopping it from progressing to the next level.

If single it is heeding that you may be in a rut and that it is time to release old stories and seek openness to new love.

In work, goals and projects this card can mean that you have a serious decision to make but may be only seeing half the picture – you may be looking only at the financial side of things and have forgotten the original passion and creativity that was present in the beginning.

It is asking you to look closer at your situation from a holistic perspective and also possibly to let go of old ways so as to bring in new ideas and solutions to help the work or project grow.

Two of swords truthSpiritually this card portends a need to undergo a transformation of ego mind – the many conflicts and dramas in your life have brought you to  a stale mate and you hiding away from the inner truths that are trying to speak to you.

You may have shut down emotionally or be blocking growth by recreating old patterns of the mind.

This card is asking you to find the courage of honesty and vulnerability to undergo the necessary growth and transformation to make leaps in improving your levels of life and happiness.

It is advising that the swords are falsely protecting you – it is time to release the shields – that you are safe to allow in truth and move forward in your life path.

Denial will hold you in a space of stagnation and egoic confusion and your true essence will continue to fight from an inner scope creating more conflict, more unresolved drama and more pain.

Remember the three of cups is the next card (it is the card of heartbreak) and if you don’t adhere the guidance of the Two of Swords you will fall into the three of cups without further ado.

Denial is a coping mechanism that gives you time to adjust to distressing situations — but staying in denial can interfere with treatment or your ability to tackle challenges. If you’re in denial, you’re trying to protect yourself by refusing to accept the truth about something that’s happening in your life – Psychology about.com

love two of swordsThe Two of swords has promise – it is asking you to release the old thought patterns, to embrace your intuition and to move from the messages of the heart – it is telling you that it is safe to face the truth of your life and your situation and that once you do so you will bring in love, peace and the magic that is your potential.

You will be supported and loved if you let go and open up, the two of swords wants you to know this and is warning you that if you stay in the repression and oppression of the past and the untruths of the mind you will not experience the wonder and beauty of the life that awaits you on the other side of your heart.

You have a choice over your destiny… well mostly 🙂

Last night in my meditations a spirit guide spoke these words to me “You will find love on the other side of your ego” and there in lay the Temperance card.

Temperance tarot card meaningThe Temperance card may seem all light and fluffy but it holds within itself a deep importance and substance that is integral to life energy and love relationships – peace and calm.

We see an angel with wings of feather, amid a lush pond, standing at the water’s edge, pouring water from one golden cup to another. The golden triangle on the chest of the white robes is an ancient symbol of healing.

The stream of water between the two cups is the act of finding the right balance between two sides, creating equality by integrating the subconscious and the conscious mind. The sun setting upon the mountain in the grey background illustrates that there is serenity throughout the muckiness of life and illusional situations.

Temperance is contemplative, calm, solitary and balanced. It involves moderation, acceptance, peace of mind, compassion and goodness.

If the temperance card comes up in a relationship query it could be a warning to step back and to go inside – to reassess and to see if equality is the base of the love relationship. It suggests that the active mind and the unconscious are not aligned and you may be needing respite from the relationship to seek truth.

Is your relationship balanced? Are you balanced emotionally, physically, spiritually? Are you being treated fairly? Are you being fair?

Temperance may alternately be asking you to stay calm in a difficult situation. Your relationship may have trouble and the cards are asking you to stay cool and collected and to step into your own integrity and allow the external to unfold.

You do not have to put yourself in the middle of someone else’s burdens. Love that is deep and real will not leave you – it will still be there when the tide comes in – when the storm passes – if it isn’t you will know soon enough.

temperance tarotYou may be being called to show your personal power and strengths to ensure your love is honest and real or that you are being treated with honour and respect. Patience is key here. It could be a time of restraint and standing alone.

The unknown is prevalent, but it heeds being true to yourself and making fair and just choices.

Co-operation is integral to any successful fulfilling relationship and this card wants you to know the power of co-operation. Co-operating between two people makes a relationship strong and healthy – if one person is not available or not adapting the relationship will fail.

Ask yourself “Am I co-operating?” – “Is my partner present?” – “How can I communicate my needs and concerns without blame or anger?” – “should I move back and allow regeneration of self” – “Is this what I truly want?”

If you have just met someone or are single this card may be asking you to stay calm and to not rush things – the angels are on your side and your steady pace will assist in the unfolding and healthy development of love.

It may be advising that you have indeed reached a period of balance and self acceptance that will allow love to come to you in a real way. Stay open and stay calm and true to yourself.

temerance tarot cardIn relation to work and goals the temperance card says you are on the right track and you have sufficient balance in your undertakings. You may need to let go a bit and allow.

This card wants you to know that you have done all you could and that now it is time to sustain a balanced approach and to be open and calm in your transactions and services. The hard work is over – you can now gently enjoy the rewards.

If you are working with others this card suggests that you may need to take a back seat and allow someone else to steer the ship for a while. They may have more business knowledge or a skill that you do not possess and it is safe to allow them to take the reigns while you concentrate on your role.

temperance tarot cardSpiritually this card is about a time of self acceptance – usually after a struggle or a crisis.

The Temperance card suggests that you have found a balance between your true desires and your self worth. You have overcome the heartache or disappointment and have become gentle and soft in your approach to yourself and your life.

You have acquired a balanced perspective in your inner world and your outer world is following suit.

It could mean that a time of solitude is nearing its end and you are ready to embark on new beginnings as you have found sincere peace and honest strength. If this is not the case this card is warning that you need alone time to reflect and heal.

It is calling for you to understand the truths of your situation by going inner, by accepting the past and letting it go.

Regardless of what is happening in your life this card wants you to stay calm and centered. You will benefit with a lovely and prosperous outcome if you listen to your higher self, respond not react and live with sincerity to your hearts language.

Allow the flow of external events to take there course and remember your divinity.

YIPPEE finally the card we have all been waiting for… Oh but wait… is it really?

“If someone comes along and shoots an arrow into your heart, it’s fruitless to stand there and yell at the person. It would be much better to turn your attention to the fact that there’s an arrow in your heart…”
― Pema Chodron

loversKeywords for Lovers tarot: Love making, attraction, union, sex, compatibility, opportunity, romantic connection, decisions, new beginnings, lust.

The Lovers is one of those tarot cards that really requires the reader to call upon spirit guidance to determine its precise meaning, as this card can be heeding a warning or a blessing alike.

As the Gemini may or may not have evolved, so too the situation may be loaded with lessons or fruits of potential nurturing and holistic love.

The angels and guides are providing an opportunity for true love, mutual attraction and union when the Lover card appears.

However, if the querent (or the person the card is referring to)  is still in the early stages of a Gemini’s growth (where two sides are polarised) the relationship may be just that-  an opportunity.

a lovers tarot cardIf the querent  (or the person the card is referring to) has progressed through the stages of awareness, open heart and mature growth then the message is one of exquisite union and longevity.

It could have the potential of lasting and sincere true love. This card shows that someone with all the gifts of passion and sensuality and attractiveness on all levels will enter your life or has entered your life. You will be swooning and whirling and twirling with a promise of love in your step.

The attraction will be strong and powerful and will often be a soul connection. You can be assured that a great pull will occur within you and it will be mutual.

This card is quite sexual and can be a warning that sex (although important)  is not the base of true love. It may be suggesting that you not confuse lust with love. In some cases a lover comes into our life for healing for past relationships from this life and others.  It can be asking you to go into the relationship with openness and no expectations; to enjoy the bonding but to steer clear of expectations, to allow it to be what it is.

lovers tarot meaningRegardless of the outcome this card does signify that you will fall in love.

The Lovers card can be about choice though also – As the fool on his or her journey suddenly stumbles across love – deep palpable love – but it may not be the direction the fool was consciously traveling on – they may have had other plans.

Love being the essence of life may challenge us at times if we are not ready for it.

This card may be showing us a test of faith. Calling us to accept that love is our path, that we do not choose when and where we meet our love. That this true love may have challenges attached to it. That when the lust moves past it initial stages the test of love will be sort. Compromises, not sacrifices, will need to be made in the  name of love.

Truth will be exposed and we have a choice of the heart or the head. Free will may be a vital key in the outcome of the lovers path – as always. Be cautious of the shadow self – be open to change and growth as this card offers a rare opportunity and if you resist or control the passion or do not honour the love in some way the love may be lost. Remember free will, this is what we are accountable for on our life quest. Love needs to be nurtured.

lovers tarot cardThe union is blessed (destiny has presented itself) but the will of the individual will decide the fate.

The dichotomy of the laws of nature may provide our souls with great lessons. How we choose to move through this cycle, this lesson, this destiny is always our choice.

If your query is about work or goals or projects it may be indicating that this person will come through the work place. Or it could be advising that you will love what you do and it will provide you great fulfillment.

Spiritually this card may be about being ready for a union that helps you to explore tantric love and brings you immense growth; reaching truer heights of self love that can then be experienced with another.

lovers tarot meaning

It could simply be saying that you are ready to meet with true love as you have advanced through the stages of awakening that warrant a sharing that is greater than one with self alone.

Consciousness is integral here. A union that helps you to learn and grow through the love of another. A union that reaches beyond the old patterns and asks you to move from intuition and deeper caring for self and others. Perhaps even a union that brings forward your life purpose.

The lovers card is the raw essence of love. We must learn to love ourselves before we can truly give openly and wholly to another. Yet, we also learn about ourselves through relationships with others and/or we can learn love within the relationships. Again the choice is ours.

When this card comes to you in a tarot reading it may just be this time (time for you to experience meaningful love) are you up for the challenge?. Open your heart. allow to receive and make the choice to go wholeheartedly into  the equation of union and you will experience delights of the soul, exquisite personal growth and a whole new level of being.

The lovers is your choice not just your destiny 🙂

When you feel you are being moved by the creative spirit, you are in fact being moved by the divine feminine. – Teri Degler

The empress tarot meaningSurrounded by the flourishing and abundant nature (symbolising her emotional depth and resonance with mother Earth), sits the Empress exuding peace, femininity and a serene aura. She wears a long soft flowing frock covered in pomegranates (fertility) and a crown of stars, which represent her honest intuitive understanding of the skies above (cosmic connection).

  1. We also see the symbol for Venus (Goddess of love/beauty) by her side and here we realise this woman forebodes the true essence of beauty, love and creativity – Abundance through connection with the universe.

Empress tarot Keywords:  emotions, self expression, or short and long distance trips, true love, intuition, art, creativity, socialising, abundance, mother
Reverse: emotional stifling, creative blocks, codependency, imbalance, materialism, unconditional love.

The Empress card is an expression of the female creative energy and heralds abundance in artist pursuits, sincere heart love, feminine energy and ignited intuitive powers. As Earth mother she is guiding the querent towards nature, nurturing, caring and inner beauty. She wants you to nurture yourself, others and in particular your closest relationship – especially your child. She is calling you to tap into your feminine essence of natural beauty and love to bring you closer to a more peaceful and calmer life.

Empress tarot cardCreativity and passion and the arts are highlighted when the Empress appears. She is the giver of new ideas that are creative from the inner stillness that derives from nature and the universal intelligence.

She is heeding you to be aware of imbalances in your life and to move back into the feminine to overcome obstacles in all areas of life. She is here to assist you in the creative process and to remind you that your soul (not money or materialism or fame) is the vital director of true artistry.

In Love the Empress is symbolising  the softness and strength of the feminine power. She is also indicative of unconditional love. She reminds us that unconditional love is the way of following the heart, not the mental chatter.

However, it is always wise to remember that unconditional love does not mean self sacrifice – love is an expression of the heart but is able to be discerning. To follow the heart does not mean to tolerate non-loving behaviour.

If in a relationship it may be saying you are about to go into a deeper, richer, more intimate level of emotional and spiritual union. The Empress is sensual and if your relationship is one based on sincere emotions this indicates the potential of a deep fulfilling relationship.

If the card is reversed it may indicate any relationship that is based on sexual gratification, materialism, ego fulfillment may not be sustained any longer. The Empress deserves the fruits and beauty of rich love that goes beyond (but is inclusive of) passion alone.

Empress tarot card feminineIf single the Empress foretells a time of sharing and joy with a person of equal creative and emotional desire as your own. It suggests that someone you have met or are about to meet will be an equal and will have the potential to meet your emotional and sensual needs on an honest and enriching level.

There may be a time of healing and union. You will be introduced to a new way, new ideas will be flowing to you and your heart will open up.

If reversed it may be heeding you to get in touch with your inner femininity and be less masculine in your approach to love. Be aware of shallow sexual pursuits and allow your intuition to direct you through any new encounters.

In business, goals and projects the Empress is tiding a time of abundance and reward. She has displayed openness, calmness and true community and mother spirit in her work and may now be in position to be rewarded.

If things have been in struggle mode she is asking you to be more creative – to spend time taping into your natural state and to discover more genuine artistic richness. Let the external desires for fulfillment move aside and create from a base level of spirit.

New ideas are coming through and with the Empress, you can change any situation into an abundant one if you let go of materialism and move deeper into your spirit.

The Empress also receives help from the community, as she has become so attractive in her calm and feminine way that she draws people to her unconsciously. She uses the intelligence and softness of her nature and beauty (not sex but sensual) to create an environment that is warm and inviting.

voyager_empressThis energy is the force of powerful alignment with truth, love and the universe, the Empress reminds us that with practice we can make this our natural state and therefore live in flow with mother Earth and the energy of true abundance.

Spiritually, the Empress may be forewarning a divine intervention  – if you have moving from a soul level, have been making choices that benefit all around you – something extraordinary may occur that leaves you wondering “Wow, how did that happen? I must have done something right”. Yes you have and the universe is sending you a miracle to move you closer to your goal.

The purpose of life is to awaken, it is not anything external – they are just ego tests that we give to ourselves along our journey to help us move closer to our true self and our awakening. The Empress is reminding us of this and calling us to move back into mother nature to surrender to the natural laws of nature.

When we visit nature (intimately) we not only heal but we connect to our true creative potential.

The stars of the Empresses crown guide her towards her truth through intuition and foresight. The abundant nature and flowing river preserves her inner calm and helps her move towards her goal peacefully and confidently.

nature1The Empress also comes to us to remind us of our inner beauty and to express it in our lives. Her dress of pomegranates (fertility) is soft and flowing and this is a symbol of our need to recognise the way we are in the world, our genuineness.

Bring forward the inner feminine beauty to your consciousness. Do this creatively from the true essence of your soul. You will bring in more fulfilling circumstance, genuine people who want to join you in the dance of awareness and growth.

This is your true power. Your inner light, your true creative mother nurturer self. Be the love, be the beauty and you will see your life flow naturally and with ease.
