The foolish fool?

No, not necessarily. This card is gorgeous as it is the card of the jester traditionally. It also, is imaging a person filled with vision, wonder, excitement and questions. A person with their bags packed but with little in them, enough to carry their own weight alone, the fool is off on a journey. .

The issue though is that if the fool doesn’t see the cliff in front of them they are likely to fall over. This card asks the querent to pay attention to where they are going before it’s too late? To look at others and not be too internal or self focused – to look beyond themselves..

Originally the fool wears ragged clothes and is disheveled. This is not necessarily to be taken literally as a poor foolish person. This can reflect a ‘poverty consciousness’ and may be asking the querent to look inner and to see if this is so – to take note of ones thinking and to ensure one is not acting from a place of negativity or lack.

The fool has the opportunity for new beginnings but is asked to look and make the correct path based not on fear or ragged thinking but on what is right and good for the fools heart. Also as a jester, the fool, if they make the right choice, has the potential to make merry and bring joy and goodness to those around them.

The fool is about making wise choices being brave and taking risks.

In love the Fool card is asking you to look closely at a situation. Are you rushing in? What are your motives?

The fool card is generally about new beginnings. So in love it would indicate that a new romance is coming in or has just begun. As a risk taker the fool says go for it – if your spirit is excited alive by the new person – but it also says remember you goals, remember your motives, remember your innocence.

The fool is in a fun stage of their journey they may not be ready for meaning and commitment in relationship. Be careful, go slow, Fools rush in.

There is mystery in this card – it is the first card of the major arcana – the very beginning of the journey. The fool gives us a sense that the magic is about to begin and it is, but it also indicates a learning period, a period of growing up. It reminds us that we do not know which way the relationship will go. We still have much to enjoy and learn. Take a new relationship slowly. Ensure it is about fun and developing a relationship.

If in a relationship the fool card could simply be reminding you to enjoy each other, where is the fun? Has the relationship become too serious? You have an opportunity with the fool to re-ignite earlier passions and closeness by making time to enjoy life and let some burdens go. Life and love is enriched by pleasure. When was the last time you took your love on a date, on a holiday or even just had some time having fun?

In some cases the fool card can literally mean you are fool if you stay. It depends on the surrounding cards.

Spiritually the card is about innocence and heeding that an adventure is about to begin – you will be going through a stage of new beginnings and challenges. You feel ready and there is an excitement about life. the fool is about walking away from the past and moving into a truer self. Some important decisions are being made or have to be made.

The fool card is saying go forward. Don’t miss important opportunities. Take a risk, it will be worth it. The fool reminds us that life is meant to be fulfilling and happy both with love relationships, goals and the way we live.

Are you the fool or the jester? Are you going on the right or best track – are you being clear and true to yourself? Jump in and take the plunge on whatever is holding you back and the fun will begin.

Page of Cups
Saturn has been building challenges in our house of relationships for 2 yrs now – things are about to shift. I for one am pleased. I pulled the Page of cups which I feel explains this transition well.
In the tarot the child or page of cups is traditionally auspicious for new adventures – I love it.  The page is holding a cup and a fish appears and talks to the page, symbolising a message of a new chapter or an opening for new creativity and imagination.
Specificly, in reference to creativity, this card can be asking you to look at your current situation creatively; you may need to be more open to ideas or you may need to bring in a creative perspective to improve your goal or relationship.
Cups are often about love and so this card is even more exciting as it portends a new romance, new energies and the begining of self transformation around who you are in relation to love.
Old ways must leave. If you have been in an unfulfilling or no-end relationship, hold on to your hat because the universe is about to throw all manner of marvelous opportunities for true intimate and playful love your way. As this is a light card it usually doesn’t indicate much heartache as the old ends. It is time and you are excited to throw yourself into a new you and a new world.
With new experiences and growth the subconscious mind opens up also – so this card is asking you to pay attention to dreams and synchronistic encounters, significant people and events . Being open to the unexpected, sometimes bizarre impulses and creative insight is a common element of the page of cups – it wants you to respond and grow and indulge a greater sense of risk and openness.
Perhaps your old relationship is stale or you are stuck on a goal that no longer serves you – stay tuned and open to newness and universal phenomena – act on a hunch.
Often the page of cups tarot card portends a surprise message from a loved one and in particular a surprise message from a stranger or someone you do not know well.
Go for it – to get to know someone is a challenge but is also exciting – the card is saying it is ok to open up and allow the awe and wonder of a new love to take you to some place new, some place that is you, but which you have never explored.
You may be emotionally moved or hightened emotions may be prevalent but this can be a wonderful thing and helps you grow past your fears around vulnerability and past hurts – it is time to fly and embrace the beauty of passion and love.
The page does not suppress innate emotional and intuitive power and is therefore free to explore spirit and imagination, free to dream wonderful dreams and to create life exactly as chosen. The page of cups is daring you to be courageous, emotional, alive and embrace romance and love to its fullest… go fly, be free.

As her head arose from the tormented winter agony of coldness, her heart insipid with incalculable equations, the journey began for cleaning in Spring. It was a mildy hot day announcing the turn of season; a prologue to stormy storms and drenching herb gardens.

Her head lifted and the knowing, a catalyst of silent silence. A look of disdain, an unfinished melody crescendoing in death of the incomplete. And it was upon the striking force of the heart hurting that the community advised to withdraw the battle and raise the mind to abundance of love already multiplying from near and far for like of the person herself.
I the soultraveller called upon the channelled welcomes. Angels, spirits dancing around the fire, from river to earth to air and such like. Naked both in body and soul, I clasped the throat chakra with the very hands of my emotional appetite and stepped into the suns rays filling my solar plexus with the beat that the celestial sounds reverberate.
The hermit card came slowly from the deck. Piercing into the belief that the time had come to rest upon the illusion of love as sacrifice for a time unknown.
The rays of gold began to speak upon my mind and I fell into a heap upon the rug in all reality, conscious of the infinite portals of amor. The floors became swept, the bathtub scrubbed, the pool emptied, the garden dug, the dance danced and the energy had shifted to allow the rumbling of renewal. It is only in the space of the acceptence upon the cleanliness that the shadow of disguise was able to be lifted.
I the soultraveller moved bare foot and open spirited into the earth and saluted my distant longing.

Megan Jackson healing artist

Portraits have an amazing potential for healing. See our new page dedicated to portrait healing. megan Jackson has a natural ability to heal through drawing/painting portrait. An inner connectedness is possible through a picture.

The face is a gateway to the soul and Megan jackson is able to capture this in her drawing as well as go on a healing journey with the subject. If you like the style, I think it is a wonderful gift. Healing-portraits by Megan jackson

As a natural healer the process of drawing someone and creating a image brings the artist into a meditative state that draws them into a deeper connection of the subject being drawn. The artist can then create healing thoughout the connection.

These drawing and paintings are guided by the universal connectedness that we all share. The artist is able to go into the character on a deeper level and send positive healing vibes. The beauty of the person comes through and this is a special element of the healing portraits.

As a tarot reader and as a healer sometimes a reading is not the correct answer and a vision is given that the querent requires healing and not advice or their is ethical conflict in the community. For example: I choose not to do tarot readings for a couple I know or friends I know as this may be  a conflict of interest to our friendship or my friendship with their partner etc..

Claire

There is no telling how a healing portraits will turn out, the artist begins with a mediation on the artwork and then draws/paints using the elements they are guided towards.

Healing portraits are not predesigned. They are guided by spirit and connection. The healer (artist) goes into a deep meditative state and connects with the pisture provided, can draw upon the deeper personality of the subject.

This is the beauty of healing portraits, they complement the inner self. Once drawn or painted they allow the subject to look upon them regulary (if placed around the home or workspace) giving them an opportunity to look differently t themselves and reflect. The subject can then connect with that deeper self each time they look upon thier portraits.

The artist connects with the inner beauty of the person, the true self and this is then able to be reflected to the subject as they look upon it. Often the healing that needs to occur instructs the time frame of the healing portrait being born.
